Rosena Allin-Khan responds to warning of 'domino effect' on children's mental health

Rosena Allin-Khan MP, Labour’s Shadow Mental Health Minister, in response to The Children and Young People’s Mental Health Coalition warnings of a ‘domino effect’ on children’s mental health care, said:

“Too many young people are experiencing agonising waits between their assessment and receiving the treatment they so desperately need.

“After a decade of decline, the NHS cannot keep up with the demand, and the implications will be felt for years to come.

"As announced at conference, Labour will guarantee that support will be available in less than a month and offer treatment to a million more people each year who need it. We'll support children and prioritise young people's wellbeing by providing specialist mental health support in every school and putting an open access mental health hub for children and young people in every community.”
