Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee to publish report on Sport in our communities

The inquiry examined risks to the survival of community sports, highlighted by the Covid-19 pandemic. It investigated the effects of the pandemic on community sports participation and clubs, whether community sport is effectively governed and funded and how elite professional sports can support the grassroots. It heard from academics, community sport organisations, the gym and leisure sector, experienced local volunteers, non-departmental bodies, national governing bodies, and the Minister.
