Kate Green comments on the Government’s consultation on behaviour and discipline in schools

“The Conservatives’ negligence in letting the Delta variant take hold has forced thousands of pupils out of their classrooms.

“The Prime Minister’s own advisor quit in protest at their pathetic education recovery plans - and teachers, parents, and pupils are warning about chaos with this summer's assessment process. The Conservatives have the wrong priorities.

“Schools are well practiced at managing behaviour, unlike the Education Secretary who was previously sacked for using his mobile to leak secure information. Teachers already manage the use of mobile phones and schools’ policies already prohibit their use in class.”
