GSK announced as a Principal Partner for COP26

• GSK joins SSE, ScottishPower, NatWest Group, National Grid, Sky, Sainsbury’s, Hitachi and Reckitt as Principal Partners for UN climate change summit COP26 in Glasgow
• Businesses playing a key role in climate action by setting science-based targets to reach net zero emissions

One of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies, GSK, will be a Principal Partner for the vital climate change summit, COP26, taking place in Glasgow later this year.

GSK is the ninth Principal Partner who will support the delivery of a successful and ambitious COP26. The company joins SSE, ScottishPower, NatWest Group, National Grid, Sky, Sainsbury’s, Hitachi and Reckitt.

Through these partnerships, the COP26 Presidency is showing a clear commitment to working with businesses who are taking real steps towards net zero.

GSK is already committed to science-based targets and last year announced environmental sustainability goals in both climate and nature, aiming to have a net zero impact on climate and a net positive impact on nature by 2030.

During the period of its COP26 partnership, GSK will work with partners to drive action in areas such as improving understanding of the impact of climate change and nature loss on health, and supporting the Race to Zero in the life sciences sector.
