Education Secretary comments on latest school attendance figures

“It’s fantastic to see attendance in schools the highest it has been at any point during the pandemic – it’s clear the protective measures in schools, as well as testing for staff, families and secondary pupils, are making a difference.

“The hard work of staff is helping keep children in and the virus out of classrooms, and I’m incredibly grateful to all staff, parents and pupils for the tremendous efforts they’re making every day.”
