UK Music CEO Jamie Njoku-Goodwin and DCMS Chair Julian Knight MP lead speakers at live events crisis meeting

Leaders from across the entertainment and insurance industries will join together on Wednesday 14^th April at 10:00am -11:00am to discuss the crisis facing the UK’s live events industry.

Without a government-backed scheme, organisers of festivals, sports events and live music will have to choose between cancelling now or potentially being wiped out by a local lockdown once the country opens up and COVID-19 cases surge again.

On behalf of UK Music, Jamie will be explaining what the lack of insurance means for live music across the country and the threat it poses to the proposed “summer of fun”. Government ministers have been invited to the meeting, though no response has been forthcoming.
