Peter Kyle responds to the Crown Prosecution Service announcing the first ever sex-for-rent charges

Peter Kyle MP, Labour's Shadow Minister for Victims and Youth Justice, responding to the Crown Prosecution Service announcing the first ever sex-for-rent charges, said:

"Offering accommodation in exchange for sex is a heinous practice that must be stamped out. This government has failed to protect victims despite years of hard work by campaigners.

"The Government must work with the police and criminal justice system to increase enforcement against this form of sexual exploitation."
