Labour have urged Conservative MPs to "vote with their consciences" when amendments to the Trade Bill relating to human rights come before the House of Commons later today. The amendments would oblige the Government to assess the human rights records of potential trade partners before negotiating or ratifying future trade deals with them, and would force the immediate revocation of trade deals with countries held legally responsible for crimes of genocide.
