Thangam Debbonaire responds to NAO report on ‘Everyone In’

Thangam Debbonaire MP, Labour’s Shadow Housing Secretary, responding to the NAO’s report on the Government’s response to housing of rough sleepers during the COVID-19 pandemic, said:

“This report highlights the glaring lack of leadership from the Government during this lockdown, as compared to last March.

“Since the summer, there has been a continued flow of rough sleepers onto the streets, many of whom have not been housed and are facing a cold and dangerous period.

“The Government needs to be honest about how many people are currently sleeping rough, and urgently ensure they all have a safe place to stay.”
