this country, I was relieved that at the last hour this deal was
agreed. I was also delighted to hear that border fluidity between
Gibraltar and Spain seems to have been resolved satisfactorily. We
must also not forget our other overseas territories whose trade and
financing could be adversely affected by our leaving the European

will cover one area I have a particular interest in. Here I draw
attention to my deputy chairmanship of the Human Trafficking

focus on the two land borders that we now have with the EU through
our overseas territories in Gibraltar
and the often forgotten sovereign base areas in Cyprus...
