Pubs Code and Pubs Code Adjudicator: statutory review, 2016 to 2019

The Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015 requires the government to review the effectiveness of the Pubs Code etc. Regulations 2016 and the performance of the Pubs Code Adjudicator.

This first statutory review covers the period from when the Code and the PCAbegan to operate in 2016 until 31 March 2019.

The review was informed by:

• stakeholder responses to an invitation to contribute views and evidence to the review
• publicly available evidence

The Minister has written to the PCA in respect of some of the findings of the report and to issue statutory guidance (see letter published on this page).
