Marsha de Cordova comments on the latest ONS stats on ethnic contrasts in covid-19 deaths

Marsha de Cordova MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Women and Equalities, commenting on the latest ONS stats on ethnic contrasts in covid-19 deaths, said:

“This is yet more evidence of the devastating and disproportionate impact that covid-19 has on Black African, Black Caribbean and South Asian people in particular.

“The Government promised action but, over four months since Public Health England set out seven clear recommendations on what needs to happen, we still don't know what has actually been done.

“The Government must act urgently as infections continue to rise rapidly.”
