the Chevening award. Not only will it allow me to

the Chevening community with young global leaders.
This is a unique opportunity to exchange our ideas
and be inspired by each other for our future
endeavour.

Congratulations to Dr. Annan and Dr. Zuo on being
awarded these scholarships. While both would have
been leading candidates in any year, it feels
particularly timely to recognise their potential
during a period of intense UK-Canada cooperation to
tackle the most serious pandemic of our times. I am
proud that the UK can play a part in the journey of
emerging Canadian leaders like Dr. Annan and Dr. Zuo.
