In a nutshell, it means that if the motion is approved, and there
is no reason to believe it won't be, the Commons will sit only from
Monday to Wednesday and NOT on Thursday or Friday.
It will start at 2.30pm on a Monday and at the usual time of
11.30am on a Tuesday and Wednesday.
Departmental oral questions and any Urgent Questions and/or
Ministerial Statements will continue as normal from tomorrow, but
the time allocated for all these will be two hours IN
TOTAL.
As far as today (Tuesday) is concerned, there will be no
departmental questions (Justice), no Ten minute rule bill, no
public business and no end of day adjournment debate.
After the debate on the Hybrid scrutiny proceedings there will
be a Business Statement from the Leader of the House which will
confirm the loss of business on Thursday's and Friday's until
further notice.
The debate on the Hybrid scrutiny proceedings and the Business
Statement will be the ONLY business enacted in the Commons
today.
As has already been decided, the Lords will sit from Tuesday to
Thursday's only, starting at 11am on each day.
Obviously, this is a very fluid situation and we will keep you
