Many of your Lordships will have seen the article in
the Times today detailing a new report,
commissioned by the Campaign to Protect Rural England which
suggests that aircraft noise is blighting the lives of more people
than the Government admit. Clever airspace design, facilitated by
the new review mechanism in this legislation, could be used to
address this problem and take many more people out of aircraft
noise zones...
