This show Tories' appalling neglect of the police service - Diane Abbott

Responding to figures showing there are now 27,000 fewer police staff under the Conservatives, Labour's Shadow Home Secretary, Diane Abbott, said:

“This shows the Tories' appalling neglect of the police service as a whole. They cut police numbers and  support staff, so far fewer police officers also have to do more of their own admin work, taking them away from front line duties.  

“For too long the Tories have tried to pretend you can have safety and security on the cheap. Labour will end that approach and rebuild the whole police workforce, officers, PCSOs and support staff.”
