Lords PNQ: Wrongful detention of people with Autism and learning disabilities

The Lord Speaker has allowed Lord Touhig to ask the Government a Private Notice Question straight after oral questions today (which should end at about 3pm).

The question is tabled as follows:

Lord Touhig to ask Her Majesty’s Government, in the light of reports that people are being wrongly detained in secure hospital units, whether they will review the Mental Health Act 1983 to amend the definition of mental disorder to exclude Autism and learning disabilities.

Baroness Blackwood of North Oxford will respond on behalf of the Government.
