Kevin Foster MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Wales: There is certainly enthusiasm within the north Wales growth deal and ambition to make sure that small modular reactors find their natural home in north-west Wales as the first place they could be developed and taken forward. A key part of the North Wales Economic Ambition Board’s work on the growth deal with the UK Government and the Welsh Government has been how we create the right conditions for that, separate to the discussions around Wylfa.
