Advance notice: Report to be published on how police forces select and train senior policing leaders

HMICFRS and Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary in Scotland (HMICS) will publish the findings of a joint inspection into how police forces select and train senior policing leaders. This is the first time that HMICFRS and HMICS have jointly inspected this topic.

The report, to be published on Tuesday 3 September, contains the Inspectorates’ assessment of the current procedures for selection and training, as well as recommendations for improvements.
