MSP to seek meeting with First Group over restructuring

Ross Thomson, Scottish Conservative MP for Aberdeen South, said:

“First Group is clearly targeting further growth in the US market, which of course it is entitled to do.

“However, my concern is with the company’s HQ in Aberdeen and the thousands of jobs here and across the UK.

“If the bus operation is to be sold off, then local jobs must be protected.

“I will be seeking a meeting with management to discuss the next steps in this process and how that may affect the employees here in Aberdeen in particular.”
