Research conducted by VisitBritain has found that a third of
overseas tourists to the UK spent part of their trip at a park or
garden, more than those who spent time at a museum, castle,
historic house or art gallery.*
The Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee is launching a
short inquiry to explore how gardens contribute to UK tourism,
the economy and to our national heritage. The Committee plans to
hold an evidence session exploring the topics at the RHS Chelsea
Flower Show at the end of May, which will be available to watch
over livestream.
