John Mann MP states that there will be resignations from those in power in the Labour Party as EHRC investigation unfolds.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) announced this morning that they will be investigating The Labour Party as they believe it ‘may have unlawfully discriminated against people because of their ethnicity and religious beliefs.’

The EHRC was established as part of the Equality Act (2006) brought in by the last Labour Government. It came into effect in October 2007.

John Mann MP, Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group Against Antisemitism said ‘obviously there will be resignations from those in power as this fully unfolds. All those involved must let the EHRC do its job properly and co-operate with the process.’
