Bob Blackman welcomes the full proscription of Hezbollah

Reacting to the government statement ¹ Bob Blackman said:

“I thank the Home Secretary for taking steps which mean that being a member of or encouraging support for this terrorist organisation on UK soil will now be a criminal offence.

“I have been saying for several years the military and political wings of this foul organisation have no degree of separation and to now hear the Foreign Secretary say the same is most welcome. Al Quds Day has facilitated symbols of hate to be paraded through central London and I am pleased the flag will no longer fly in the UK. 

“This has been a long campaign and one which has required repeated questions in the House of Commons ² as well as lobbying successive Home Secretaries³. 

“I hope my constituents are pleased with the action taken by the government.”
