Rail stress causing passengers to move house - Rachael Maskell responds

Rachael Maskell MP, Labour’s Shadow Rail Minister, commenting on the annual survey of rail users by Which?, said:

“It’s no surprise that rail passengers are finding their journeys so unpleasant when trains are so often delayed and crowded. But this survey shows just how awful the impact of that stress can be on people’s lives. 

“Our rail system has been disastrously fragmented by franchising and privatisation, and we’ve been lumbered with a Transport Secretary who fails wherever in Whitehall he goes. The next Labour government will bring railways under public ownership.”
