NHS
England have published the Long Term
Plan which sets out
how NHS England will use the additional
funding announced by
the Government. The Committee will hold two evidence sessions
exploring the Long Term Plan. The Committee also
intends to seek the views of patients and staff on the Plan by
engaging with the NHS Assembly.
The first
session will hear from thinktanks and stakeholders on the
implications and practicality of the Long Term Plan.
The first panel will consist of the King’s Fund, Nuffield Trust
and the Health Foundation. The second panel will hear from NHS
Providers, NHS Clinical Commissioners, National Association of
Primary Care and the Local Government
Association.
The second
session will hear from the Secretary of State, Chief Executive of
NHS England, Chief Executive of NHS Improvement and the Chief
executive of Health Education England. The date will be announced
shortly.
