Policy paper - UK participation in Horizon 2020: UK government overview

Horizon 2020 is the EU’s flagship programme for science and innovation. This document provides an overview of the position for UK applicants following the June EU Council. It also offers further detail about the UK’s commitment to underwrite funding and the extension to the UK’s funding guarantee until the end of Horizon 2020.

As part of this commitment, current UK recipients of Horizon 2020 funding are invited to provide data about their projects on a portal managed by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). The portal is designed to ensure that UKRIhas the information about projects and participants in order to underwrite guarantee payments if required.
