"All the forecasts available suggest that the Government's proposed deal would make the UK poorer.

"All analysis suggests ‘No Deal’ would be a disaster which no responsible government could allow.

"It's completely unacceptable for the government to threaten no deal in order to get their own botched deal through.

"Years of austerity have ill prepared our economy for the challenges and implications of Brexit.

"The Tories have presided over more than eight years of economic failure.

"Austerity has damaged our economy, delayed and weakened our recovery and endlessly postponed fixing the deficit.

"It is a little over a month since the Tories' Broken Promise Budget and it is clear austerity is not over.

"Labour will continue to oppose and will vote against this deal – a bad deal for Britain, a bad deal for our economy and a bad deal for our democracy."
