London Assembly: London’s policing challenges

The number of homicides in London so far this year has topped the total for the whole of 2017^[1]. 

Against this backdrop, and with preparations for a fractious Brexit under way, the London Assembly Police and Crime Committee will hold the latest in its regular question and answer session with the Metropolitan Police and the Mayor’s Office for Police and Crime.

Questions will cover:

• Tackling violence
• EU exit
• Road crime
• 999 response times
• Sanction detection rates

The guests are:

• Cressida Dick CBE QPM, Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Service
• Sir Stephen House QPM, Assistant Commissioner, Metropolitan Police Service
• Sophie Linden, Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime

The meeting will take place on Thursday, 29 November 2018 from 10.00am in the Chamber at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).
