During Prime Minister’s Question Time in the Commons today, Judith
Cummings (Lab. Bradford South) said West Yorkshire Police had
900 fewer police than it did eight years ago resulting in a large
increase in violent crime in her constituency. “Now the Association
of Police and Crime Commissioners warn that the government’s
pensions shortfall will cost £165 million and leave 4,000 fewer
officers on our streets.” In West Yorkshire alone this would mean
