Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy committee report: Electric vehicles: driving the transition - Oct 19

The Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee publishes its Fourteenth Report of Session 2017-19, Electric vehicles: driving the transition, at 00.01 on Friday 19 October 2018.

The report examines the key opportunities and barriers for developing the electric vehicle market and looks at areas including the Government’s targets for EVs, purchase support, charging infrastructure and industrial opportunities.  

In September 2017, the BEIS Committee launched their inquiry, Electric vehicles: developing the market and infrastructure. The inquiry sought to i) to identify the key opportunities and barriers for the development of the EV market, from both a consumer and industry perspective and ii) to assess the adequacy of existing policy to address these barriers and maximise opportunities, and iii) to investigate the particular challenges of developing new charging infrastructure.
