It’s a scandal that the Government has been allowed to force through fracking at any cost - Long Bailey

Rebecca Long Bailey MP, Labour’s Shadow Business Secretary, commenting on the legal challenge being rejected to fracking in Lancashire, said:

"It’s a scandal that the Government has been allowed to force through fracking at any cost. In the same week as the IPCC issued a stark warning about the need for drastic action on climate change, this will have a disastrous impact on efforts to reduce our emissions.

“This decision is a huge blow for the communities near the Preston New Road site. The next Labour government will ban fracking.”
