on the forestry grant scheme states that applicants must have
control of the land and a legal right to plant trees on the land
and that, where control of land changes or comes out
of Farming, there must be no doubt about the
applicant’s legal right to plant trees. We intend to add additional

or legal right to plant trees is the subject of a live legal
challenge or review, we would not consider the land to be eligible
for a forestry grant until any legal process had been
concluded...

saying that we should not have poverty in Scotland in the 21st
century. Of course people want to do things for themselves and
their communities, and as a member of the Scottish Co-Operative
Party group, I have heard about—and
support—empowering co-operative models across all sectors,
including energy, Farming, housing and childcare. Indeed, last

organisation here in Edinburgh that is successfully bucking the
