Fulton MacGregor (Coatbridge and Chryston) (SNP):...Remand has a
major impact on the lives of those who are subject to it. It does
not have a positive impact on rates of Recidivism; it leads to
an increased likelihood of offending. Housing, benefits and so on
are all affected, as I said earlier. Access to medications and
other health initiatives and interventions can be limited or, in
