Give Londoners a sporting chance

The Mayor wants to make London the sporting capital of the world, attracting more events of global stature that inspire and unite Londoners.

He wants to invest at least £8.8 million through his Sport Unites programme to meet his aim of an active and integrated city.

The London Assembly Economy Committee will tomorrow examine the draft Strategy for Sport in London and explore whether Sport Unites represents value for money.

The meeting will take place on Thursday 4 October at 1.30pm in The Chamber, at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).
