MPs debate committee reports on improving air quality

The government today turned down calls to bring forward the date for new cars and vans to be zero emission. In a Commons debate on improving air quality, minister for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs David Rutley said the government had seriously considered the points that had been made, but 2040 was already an ambitious target.
