on the proposal to make the possession of a knife on a further
education premises an offence. As has been mentioned, there are
some scenarios where this is permissible. In the case of training,
gamekeepers, chefs, cooks, hairdressers, Electricians,
builders and carpenters all require a bladed instrument, so in many
respects these people will have to be excluded from the
