Ken Skates AM (Cabinet Secretary for Economy and
Transport): ...The UK Government has concluded that the
project should not be provided with public funding. This
decision by the UK Government not to support the Swansea bay tidal
lagoon is deeply disappointing and a further blow to Swansea
following on from the UK Government’s decision not to electrify
the Great Western main line to Swansea. Despite our
