“Once again we see how the Conservatives’ part-privatisation of our probation system has been a costly failure that is leaving the public less safe. 

“Labour is committed to bringing probation back under public control instead of wasting hundreds of millions of pounds bailing out failing private probation companies. 

“The Government should follow Labour’s lead and launch a review into how and when to return probation to the public sector.”
