MP's comments ahead of debate on the Commonwealth

"At the same time the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CEIC) has give a sharper focus to the business of business and what that can do to benefit the peoples of the 54 Commonwealth nations.

"This coincides with a renewed emphasis on projecting Global Britain by the newly created Dept for International Trade under Liam Fox.

"So how can we help stimulate more cross Commonwealth trade, more people to people links, and more sharing of best practice in governance and great technology to change and save lives?

"I hope this debate comes at a good time as we approach ideas in the year of CHOGM in the UK."
