Tory cuts are making it impossible for schools across the country to make ends meet - Rayner

Angela Rayner MP, Labour’s Shadow Education Secretary, commenting on a new report by the Education Policy Institute into school funding pressures in England, said: 

“The Conservatives have created a crisis in our schools. They have slashed funding for the first time in a generation causing the number of schools in deficit to skyrocket.

“These cuts are making it impossible for schools across the country to make ends meet, and it will be a generation of children who pay the price for Conservative failure.

“The next Labour Government will give our schools the investment they need and protect their funding in real terms.”
