Diane Abbott commenting on the Yarl's Wood hunger strike

Diane Abbott MP, Labour's Shadow Home Secretary, commenting on the current hunger strike by 120 detainees at the Yarl’s Wood immigration detention centre, said:

"This is very disturbing news. I have been trying to get in to Yarl's Wood for over a year and am finally being allowed to visit tomorrow. I intend to speak to the women there and hear first-hand their experiences and their concerns."
