Education Committee to question Justine Greening

On Wednesday 25 October, the Education Committee will take evidence from Rt Hon Justine Greening MP, Secretary of State for Education. The Committee will ask questions on topics across the Department for Education’s brief, with early years, primary assessment, school funding, teaching workforce, and technical and higher education among the topics likely to feature.

Robert Halfon MP, Chair of the Education Committee, said: “"Over this Parliament, the goals of our Committee are a focus on delivering social justice and boosting the nation's productivity. Our education system should offer a ladder of opportunity which gives everyone the chance to progress and access education, from early years through to adult education. On Wednesday we will be questioning Justine Greening on the Government’s efforts through the education system to improve the lives of young people and assist them on the ladder of opportunity. From nurseries to universities, we will be keen to press the Secretary of State on what her department is doing to close the skills deficit and to improve educational outcomes for children from disadvantaged backgrounds".
