Unions call on government to fully fund teachers' pay increases

Five teacher unions, have today submitted their response to the consultation on the STRB’s recommendations on the teachers’ pay award.  

They have called on the government  to fully fund the pay increases recommended, and the further pay increases that are clearly needed, including providing additional funding for the Welsh Government to support increases in Wales.

The letter to Education Secretary Justine Greening sets out the joint response from ASCL, ATL, NAHT, NUT, UCAC and Voice the Union on government proposals following the STRB's 27th Report.
