The Mayor’s draft Transport Strategy is out for
consultation.
It is the job of the London Assembly Transport
Committee to scrutinise the content of the strategy
and respond to the draft.
The strategy proposes three overarching themes; healthy streets
and healthy people, a good public transport
experience and new homes and jobs.
- What do the
transport experts think of the themes?
- Do they
agree with the Mayor’s strategic objectives?
- Is the 80%
target of all journeys being sustainable modes achievable?
- Will the
Mayor reform or replace the Congestion Charge?
- Have the
right challenges been identified?
- What are the
key strengths and are there any significant omissions?
