Sutton Trust - Sir Peter Lampl comments on the first Social Mobility Employer Index

“Getting more graduates from low and moderate-income backgrounds to the top of the professions is good for the graduates, good for society, good for the economy and good for the professions. 

“I am pleased to see from the Commission’s rankings that many big employers recognise this and have taken action. However, we are just at the beginning of this process and much more needs to be done.  This should avoid the waste of talent and increase social mobility.”
