Zoos Forum annual report 2006/7

The Zoos Forum Annual Report for 2006/7 has been published by Defra. 

The report highlights progress and developments by the Forum during the last financial year.

Topics covered in the report include the biennial Zoo Training seminar, benchmarks for education, new chapters for the Zoos Forum Handbook and it also includes full minutes of three Forum meetings held during the year.

Notes to editors

1.    The Zoos Forum is the Government's independent advisory non-departmental public body on zoo-related matters. It comprises a panel of unpaid experts, appointed by Defra Ministers, which usually meets three times each year. Members include zoo operators, vets, educationalists, local authority officials, zoo inspectors, animal welfare scientists and an RSPCA representative.
