Lords defence industry inquiry hears from supply chain companies

The House of Lords Industry and Regulators Committee continues its inquiry into the relationship between the Government and the defence industry on Tuesday 30 June 2026 by hearing from supply chain companies producing key components for drones and submarines.

  
The session will begin at 11am and can be followed live or afterwards on Parliament TV or in person in Committee Room 2, Palace of Westminster.

Giving evidence will be:

• Chris Newland,

Managing Director, Advanced Integrated Technologies Ltd;

• Chris Blackford,

Director of Strategy, Monster CAM Composite Systems Ltd.

Members are expected to ask questions on:

• cultural and practical changes required for the Government and industry to work in partnership with supply chain companies;
• procurement processes and contracts;
• the critical materials, components and other inputs that you need to supply UK defence requirements;
• support needed by supply chains to increase capacity if required;
• role of the Government, devolved and local authorities to support regional defence industries.
