to China's role in the multilateral system and its ambitions.

or on demand at Parliament
TV or in person inCommittee Room 4A,

Questions will include:
- How would you characterise China's vision for the
international order, and in what ways does this differ from the
United States' traditional approach to shaping that order?
- Some have argued that China is filling in gaps in the
multilateral system where the US has retreated. Is this a fair
assessment? How would you describe China's ambitions (if any) in
this regard?
- Can you describe the ways in which China has sought to
increase its influence within multilateral organisations such as
the UN, WTO, IMF and World Bank? And how successful has it been
in these endeavours?
- Are there areas of multilateral cooperation where UK and
Chinese interests align? Where are the areas of potential
collaboration; and what are the areas of potential conflict?
