Plaid Cymru cabinet announced by Rhun ap Iorwerth

The Plaid Cymru leader has announced his cabinet.

Plaid Cymru leader Rhun ap Iorwerth has announced Plaid Cymru's new cabinet this afternoon. He was sworn in as Wales' First Minister on Tuesday, May 12, and spent today appointing his team to the roles they will fill in the minority government he will lead.

Mr ap Iorwerth arrived at the Welsh Government headquarters at Cathays Park early on Wednesday, with Plaid Cymru figures seen arriving during the day.

At 4pm, they arrived on the Senedd steps and posed for photographs.

• Deputy First Minister and minister for social justice and equality – Sioned Williams
• Finance minister – Elin Jones
• Trefnydd, chief whip and minister for cultrue and sport – Heledd Fychan
• Minister for government eEffectiveness and the constitution – Dafydd Trystan
• Health minister – Mabon ap Gwynfor
• Minister for enterprise, connectivity and energy – Adam Price
• Minister for education and the Welsh language – Anna Brychan
• Minister for rural resilience and sustainability – Llŷr Gruffydd
• Minister for local government, housing and planning – Siân Gwenllian
