At 11am on Tuesday 28 April the House of Lords Built Environment Committee will hear evidence from:

• Sara Candiracci, Associate Director at Arup
• James Delaney, Founder at BlockWorks
• Huan Rimington, Founder at Build Up Foundation
• Neal Shasore, Founder at The School of Building CIC.

This public evidence session is part of the committee's inquiry on the relationship between young people and the built environment. It will be held in Committee Room 2 of the House of Lords and streamed live on Parliament TV. 

Topics likely to be covered in this session include:

• The current attitudes and interest of children and young people towards both the built environment, and issues surrounding the topic.
• Why children and young people should be encouraged to care about the built environment.
• Whether there is anything special about the built environment that is appealing to children and young people above other sectors.
• How important it is to engage with children and young people in existing youth spaces and networks.
• Whether digital tools, including video games and social media, can offer new opportunities for children and young people to engage with the built environment.
